Srinagar, Jan 12 :
The Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday said that it will hold special tuition classes for those students in North Kashmir’s Dardpora area who couldn’t pass the class 10th examination, the results of which were announced recently.
Director School Education Kashmir, Dr G.N. Yatoo told KNS that keeping in view the dismal results of the students in class 10 examination from Dardpora Government High, the government has decided to hold special remedial tuition classes for the students within a period of one week. “The high level team including myself will visit the Dardpora area at Kupwara and will seek details from the students and locals about the facilities that they need so that they could get quality education. Further, free of cost coaching will begin for those students who couldn’t clear class 10 exams,” Dr Yatoo told PNN NEWS.
Reports came to fore earlier that only one student out of 44 students of government high school Dardpora Lolab in Kupwara district had qualified the class 10th examination recently. The local residents and parents of the students had accused the teaching staff of the school of not imparting quality education to the students there.
Director School Education told PNN NEWS 24 that already two teachers from the government of the area in question have been suspended while as increment of the two others has been stopped.
