Kupwara, July 17:The education department in collaboration with district administration Kupwara today organised a programme of Aids and Appliances for the distribution of wheelchairs and tricycles among specially abled children in DC office Complex Kupwara .
The four day camp was inaugurated by Additional District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Mohd Yousuf Mir. On the occasion, 157 equipments were distributed among various specially abled children.
Among others, Chief Education Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, and other officers were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, ADDC said that Specially abled children deserve equal care as any other children for their growth and development. He further said that Provided opportunities and proper facilities, specially abled children can realise their dreams and aspirations like any other person and there are ample examples to substantiate this fact.
