Srinagar, Oct 9 : The National Health Mission Employees Association today demanded impartial investigation into the death of a health worker in Bandipora and sought suitable ex-gratia assistance for the family of the deceased.
As per a statement, the Association conveyed condolences to the bereaved family while expressing anger over alleged murder of the woman. The health worker, Rehana Gulzar, a mother of three kids died mysteriously due to burn injuries on October 7 at her in-laws’ home.
The relatives of the woman have accused her in laws of murdering her.
Association President Muneer Andrabi urged Governor SP Malik and Advisor K Vijay Kumar to ensure thorough probe into the incident and demanded an ex-gratia assistance of Rs 20 lakh for securing the future of the children of the deceased.
He also called for ensuring that the guilty are brought to book. The Association has decided to wear black bands at work on Wednesday and hold prayer meetings for peace to the departed soul.
