Demands regularization of their services
Nissar Shaheen :
(GNS): Like other parts of the State, a large number of National Health Mission Employees of Doda District under the banner of All J&K NHM Employees Association District Doda today held a strong protest and observed complete pen down strike in the District and were demanding regularization of their services.
Earlier, the NHM Employees from Block Ghat, Assar, Thathri, Gandoh and Bhaderwah besides NHM Staff from CMO Office and District Hospital gathered at CMO Office Doda.
Speaking on the occasion, President of the NHM Employees Doda Faizan A Tramboo said that the aim of holding this protest and strike is to inform the State Govt as well as concerned authorities about the genuine grievances of NHM Employees which it has not conceded so far forcing us to go for protests and strikes.
The main demands which were highlighted in the protest included immediate regularization of NHM employees, maximum increment be given to all NHM Employees and practice of taking affidavits annually from the NHM Employees must be stopped at an earliest. Further it has been informed that more than 15000 employees are working in J&K under different schemes of NHM and most of them have already crossed the age of upper limit, adding that NHM is the only backbone of health care system so Govt should acknowledge them and regularize their services.
Criticising the State Government for its callous approach, the NHM Employees demanded formulation of a comprehensive policy to regularise their services.
