Army chief to visit Srinagar today

Army chief General Bipin Rawat would embark on a two-day visit to Srinagar on Thursday, his first to Jammu and Kashmir after the Centre announced Ramadan ceasefire in the state.

A top army officer told that General Rawat would arrive in the morning.“ General Officer Commanding of Srinagar based Chinar Corps Lieutenant General AK Bhatt will brief the army chief about the present situation in Kashmir,”
