Gunfight underway in Kupwara forests

Gunfight rages between militants and security forces in forest area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara on early Friday.

Initial reports confirmed to Kashmir Despatch that encounter starts in upper reaches of Kupwara after the hiding militants opened fire on searching party today morning, however firing from both sides was on when last reports came in.
