Patwaris strike puts people and Administration in hurdle.

All patwaries and girdawars of J&K are on strike under the banner of J&K patwar association against the non fulfillment of their demands by the govt. The demands are (1)patwaries appointment with basic qualification as graduate are being given 2400 grade pay instead of 2800 where as in other departments they get 2800 grade pay (2)DPC OF patwaries & girdawars is pending since last three years when the same is to be conducted after every 6 months, (3)creation of GQ CIRCLES & patwar halqa (4)stop direct recruitment of naib tehsildars as the department has thousands of psc qualified GQs who r waiting for promotion (5)enhancement of allownces (6)construction of patwar khanas as patwari has no office to work. These demands were time and again accepted by the committees formed by the govt but govt never full filled these demands.Mean while Ex- Girdawar Haji Habibullah Shah also requested Govt to kindly resolve all the issues of Patwaris and Girdawars on priority bases
