Civil Secretariat closes in Srinagar for 6 months

Civil Secretariat, the official seat of the state government closed today in Srinagar and will reopen in winter capital Jammu on November 6. A government official told that the secretariat closed today after working for six months in the summer capital, Srinagar.
“The offices will reopen at Jammu on November 06, 2017,” he said. As an annual official practice in vogue since the time of Maharajas rule, the government offices shift from summer capital Srinagar to winter capital Jammu, known as Darbar Move.
