Cop injured in SMHS attack succumbs; toll two

Srinagar Feb 6 : A Lashkar militant, identified as Naveed Jat, escaped after militants attacked the police party escorting him for a medical check-up at SMHS today, leaving a cop dead and another injured. A policeman who was wounded in a militant attack on a police party accompanying prisoners at SMHS hospital in Srinagar on Tuesday succumbed, taking the toll to two.
