Chief Medical Officer kicked-off the pulse polio campaign

At Kupwara, Chief Medical Officer kicked-off the pulse polio campaign at the sub-district hospital where he administered vaccines to newborns. It was said that 1, 36,262 children would be covered under the programme for which a number of polio booths and health workers and volunteers along with supervisory staff have been engaged for the successful conduct the drive.

At Block langate Bmo langate Dr Nazir Ahmad kicked off the pulse polio campaign. Bmo langate while interacting with Media persons said that there were 101Booths including one transit booth for the benefit of public. He requested all the parents to ensure pulse polio drops to their loving kids. He said that in his block there wre 19804 children’s from 0 to 5 years of age,among them 17091 were ammunized today at 86.30%, rest of the children’s to be ammunized in next two days.
