District administration firm on transforming Kupwara despite low initial ranking of district by Niti Ayog
Nissar Shaheen :
Under the recently launched programme “ Transformation of Aspirational Districts ” by Govt of India , 115 districts are competing in 49 parameters pertaining to improved health and nutrition , better education , Agriculture , infrastructure , Financial inclusion and Skill Development .
The initial ranking of Niti Ayog has put DIstrict Kupwara in the slow improving districts , but commenting on the matter , DIstrict administration has reiterated and reaffirmed its resolve to transform the Kupwara into better performing districts , in prescribed time . The other districts of Country are comparatively better placed and have many initial advantages which Kupwara hasn’t owing to remoteness , tough terrain , hostile situation etc etc.
However, at the same time , Prabhari Officers from GoI have appreciated the action plan framed by the District Administration and the robust roadmap laid to achieve the goals . Pertinent to mention District has achieved 100 % ODF status in the month of June against the targeted deadline of August 15, which shall improve the delta ranking of June . Similarly visible activities are witnessed all across the district and officers are working very hard to achieve the set targets .
Moreover, two officers from GoI are in the district presently monitoring activities under extended Gram Swaraj Abhiyan. The officers in their reports have applauded the micro plans and road maps laid to achieve the set targets.
